Since becoming a city, the Sandy Springs Real Estate Market has exploded with new estate luxury homes, town homes, lofts, and condominium communities.  Sandy Springs’ proximity to Midtown, Buckhead and Downtown Atlanta make it a highly desirable area.

The Buckhead Real Estate Market continues to be one of the most exclusive and cutting edge areas in Atlanta.  With the development of high-end high rises, as well as its traditional tree-lined Southern neighborhoods such as Tuxedo Park and Peachtree Battle, Buckhead will always be a prime location.

For a quaint, small town feel close to intown, the Vinings Real Estate Market is the place to look.  With its upscale Boutiques, Cafés, and variety of housing options, Vinings has become a top location.  Surrounding areas such as Mableton and Smyrna have benefited greatly from their proximity to Vinings and downtown Atlanta.  Both the Smyrna Real Estate Market and the Mableton Real Estate Market have seen a huge increase in new development of executive homes, town homes, and lofts, as well as a revitalization of older neighborhoods.

East Cobb is famous for its access to a wide variety of schools, both private and public, and family friendly affordable neighborhoods.  The Marietta Real Estate Market also features many shopping venues, as well as several Golf and Country Club Communities.

If you like to be in the center of all the activity, the Midtown Real Estate Market is the place for you.  From high rises and condominium communities around Piedmont Park to the classic cottages of Ansley Park, Midtown Atlanta has it all.  Neighboring Virginia Highlands and Morningside also offer great intown living within walking distance of cafés, shops, and active nightlife.

Other fast growing, family friendly neighborhoods are Alpharetta and Dunwoody.  Both of these areas have great options - from moderate single family residences to luxury Country Club and Golf Communities such as Country Club of the South.

Tips for Finding the Perfect Neighborhood

1. Make a list of all of the amenities that are close by in the neighborhood you are considering as your new residence.  Keep in mind what distances and routes to each of these places are acceptable and what are not.

2. Determine what the best features of the neighborhoods are.  This is especially helpful if you are deciding between a few different neighborhoods.

Are there parks nearby?
Is it scenic and visually appealing?
Are there quiet areas, streets, culs de sac?
Are the people friendly in the neighborhood?
Is the neighborhood clean?  Yards, streets, parks?
Are there nice trees and foliage?
Do the lots have large or small yards?
Are there walkways and are they easily accessible?
Is it a safe neighborhood?
What are the market values of the homes in the area?
Are there many houses for sale?
How long ago was the community developed?
What is the average age of the people in the area?
Are there families with small children in the area?
What is the proximity to schools?
Are there community events or organizations?

3. Walk around in the neighborhood.  The best way to determine the cleanliness and friendliness of the neighborhood is to walk around in it and meet its residents.
